The German certification company "TUV Thüringen" awarded IUS, at the end of July 2022, a certificate for the management system according to ISO 9001:2015 standards, for a five-year period. The certificate refers to the administrative management of the General Secretariat (GS) of the University, the scope of which is the provision of administrative and technical services.

The management of IUS took all measures to prepare for ISO certification, in the form of: professional training of administrative employees, for which an external expert in the field of ISO certification was hired from the Institute for Standardization of BiH (BHAS), organization of internal meetings and audits, as well as delivery and information analysis. All services were in charge of submitting individual SWOT analyzes of their services to the QA office, determining work processes and creating process maps, appointing process holders, SWOT analysis of the General Secretariat was also done. Based on the analysis of the submitted, as well as the performed internal audit, corrective measures and recommendations were established by the management to improve the work of all services, and implementation was monitored. The report on the internal audit and corrective measures was fully adopted by the IUS Management Board and gave further instructions to the IUS management regarding the improvement of the quality management system (QMS).
